My biggest guilty pleasure is the Bachelor franchise. Every Monday my friends buy every snack insight, go to McDonald’s for Diet Cokes and fries, Walgreens for ice cream, and sit down and watch people “fall in love.” I may or may not joke every single week that I want to apply and make an audition tape. I think I’d be hilarious, and I mean content.
I’ve been saying for YEARS that the Bachelor needs to do a gay bachelor or bachelorette, I just want A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila but in 2019. I know it probably won’t happen, god damn middle America is destroying my dreams, BUT, I did get my hopes up with MTV’s newest season of Are You The One with their sexually fluid cast.
I got even MORE hope when the trailer for the upcoming season for Bachelor in Paradise dropped on Monday.
Demi Burnett. My QUEEN. I will admit, I didn’t love her on Colton’s season originally, but at the end of the day, she might be one of the best people to come out of this franchise. She’s hilarious, she knows who she is, she’s strong, and she’s independent as FUCK. Oh, and she’s a queer queen.

If you’re reading this I’m assuming you watch the Bachelorette and saw the trailer, but if NOT, I’ll give you the rundown: Demi Burnett was shown kissing a girl on a bed and then it cut to her talking to the camera saying that she loves this girl and she could see herself spending the rest of her life with her.
To be completely honest, before I saw Demi’s tweet, I thought that the producers could be spinning this on us. The makeout could’ve been a joke, the conversation with the camera could have been twisted and she could’ve been talking about a friend. BUT Thank the gay lord, Demi tweeted and answered, mostly, all of our questions, we got a queer queen on Paradise this season, LETS. FUCKING. GO.
I typically don’t get too into Paradise, it bores me quickly, but I am HYPE for this season. I’m so hype for Demi. I love her so god damn much for a human that I’ve never met.
