I’m sitting here, right now, in this very moment, waiting for the bathroom to be free so I can experience the absolute euphoria that is a post beach shower. I mean, there are few better feelings in the world.

Maybe you’re not as dramatic as me, but even so, you can at least agree that it’s a top five type of shower, maybe even holds the number one spot. My other four would have to be: post sweaty workout shower, hungover shower that for some reason cures you, winter shower to warm up, home for the first time after vacation shower. Some top tier stuff, but the post beach shower is far above the rest.

Just picture it: you’re sticky with sand, sunscreen, and salt water, crispy and warm from the sun and you get home, pop in the shower, it’s a little colder than normal because you’re hot, and you rinse off the day and put on clean clothes. *chefs kiss* You get out and you’re looking tan and cute. If you’re like me you have a million more freckles. You’re cool as a cucumber and happy as a clam. God I fucking love it. The only thing that could possibly make it better is if you’re in an outdoor shower. Like DAMN I wish I had a beach house with an outdoor shower so badly, that’s all I fucking want.

There’s something so nice about washing the salt off your body, it just constricts your skin so much that washing it off feels so refreshing and right. And then putting on a nice moisturizer? Ugh I literally cannot wait to get in the shower right now, my serotonin levels are about to be through the roof.
