Because I simply could not decide on 64 Taylor Swift songs for a bracket, I decided to do an absolutely ginormous March Madness bracket with 128 songs. One hundred and twenty eight fucking songs. But that still meant that I had to get rid of a lot of songs.
I stuck with only album songs. The left side of the bracket will be Country Taylor, all songs from Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, and Red. Which consisted of a total of 68 songs, so I had to get rid of 4. The right side of the bracket will be Pop/Folk Taylor with songs from 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, and Evermore. Because this bitch decided to put out 2 fucking albums in 2020, there were 80 something songs on this side of the bracket, so I had a lot of work cut out for me. Your favorite song may not have made the cut, but you try coming up with only 128 of Taylor Swifts best songs. It’s much harder than you’d think!!
“Forever & Always” (piano version)
“A Perfectly Good Heart”
“Girl at Home”
From the Country Taylor side, I cut out 5 songs, but realistically Crazier wasn’t even on an album, it’s just a song I love, and Forever and Always (piano version) is a different version of a song already on the bracket. The other songs, were songs I genuinely could not tell you about. I don’t know what they sound like or any of the words. If you like these songs, I am so so so sorry, but some songs had to make the cut!!
“How You Get the Girl”
“Welcome to New York”
“Look What You Made Me Do”
“…Ready for It?”
“This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things”
“I Did Something Bad”
“You Need to Calm Down”
“Soon You’ll Get Better”
“It’s Nice to Have a Friend”
“It’s Time to Go”
“Cowboy Like Me”
The Pop/Folk side was fucking hard to take songs out of. I ended up taking a lot out of Lover and Reputation… Two albums that I love and adore, but I had to make some drastic cuts. A lot of these songs are fan favorites, but at the end of the day, it is in fact my fucking bracket, so I get final say. These are some of my personal least favorite Taylor Swift songs, so if you have any complaints please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you kindly.
